I'll play the best sounds from the 30's, 40's, and 50's as well as reach back to the 20's for the tastiest roots of Swing. You can have it all on Swing's the Thing!

If it's Tuesday, it must be the Swing's the Thing show with me, your host Jack McAvoy. I hope you'll join me each Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 6 for your kind of music -- you know, music that puts a smile on your face and makes you glad you found this show and this great radio station. I'll play the best sounds from the 30's, 40's, and 50's as well as reach back to the 20's for the tastiest roots of Swing. You can have it all on Swing's the Thing!
In addition to the best in Big Band and Swing, along with the great vocalists, you'll be treated to a couple of special features. During the 4 o'clock hour I'll feature a different artist each week for songs and a mini bio. Then just after 5 o'clock, it's "World War 2 for 3." You get three World War 2 songs -- all connected by that week's theme. Who knows what it will be -- reveille? military life? rationing? the girl back home? military humor? Whatever the topic, you won't want to miss it!
As if that's not enough, stay tuned right after Swing's the Thing for 30 minutes of pure solid gold. That's right -- I shift gears from Swing to Rock for the best in Top 40 tunes from the 50's and 60's. Think of it as dessert after the main course of Swing's the Thing!
Make the Swing's the Thing show a must stop each Tuesday. I'm betting you'll be glad you did.
